Can I use the Intex Saltwater System for my 500 gallon Cal Spa Hot Tub?

Nope. Salt water generators are in fact chlorine generators. They take salt dissolved in water and convert it to another form of salt...chlorine. It's just at a lower dose than traditional chlorine sanitizing systems and as such is easier on peoples eyes and skin. There's a reason that hot tubs use sanitizers other than chlorine and that's because in a hot water environment like a spa, that's also bubbling, chlorine oxidizes an organic and gases off, directly into your face and eyes. Pretty darn uncomfortable for your eyeballs. Stick to the bromine or ozone that you're using now.

Salt water hot tubs?

Is there such thing as a salt water hot tub? if so where can get one.. bc i went to a hot tub store and when i asked them if they had saltwater hot tubs they looked at me like i had two heads :

I know you can have a whole pool (spa tub included) filled with salt water instead of the regular chlorine-filled water.

I don't know if its possible unless the spa is sunk into the ground because it has something to do with changing the water as well as the filtering system.

Can I go into a hot tub after getting my bellybutton pierced?

I got by belly button pierced the 22nd of February and today is the 4th of March. I’m supposed to go in a hot tub with my friends at her house in a day or two. I would say my piercing is healing very well. My last resort would be to put a waterproof Band-Aid on it if I go in but is there another way or is it ok to go in? Especially if I clean it afterwards with saltwater, or antibacterial saline solution or antibacterial foaming soap or whatever just tell me which to use if i can. Thanks please answer

It should be fine going in a hot tub since you have gone past a week already from getting your bellybutton pierced.

Pool Design and Technology?

We are trying to design a pool that has a lap lane element to it for the back yard. The family wants a cool shape, but I want length enough to swim a quality lap, and we want an attached hot tub too.. Where can I find good designs for this to get some good ideas.
Secondly, we are also trying to find out about saltwater or saline type pool technology. We do not want a chlorine pool but can't seem to find much info about the other type. We swam in one in Italy and it was amazing. You could open your eyes underwater like in fresh water and you felt great when you got out, not dried out like with chlorine. Anyone have experience with pools like these?
