Ideas for an outdoor TROPICAL hot tub bachelorette/bachelor/engagement party?
We’re having an all-in-one bachelorette/bachelor/engagement party.
What are some ideas that could make it awesome? I know I want tiki torches and lays (not sure on the spelling…)
Any suggestions for food, drinks, ambience/setting, games? Thanks!

Im not getting married yet but me and my bf actually talked about having a laui bbq instead of bachlor/bachlorette party since we are not into that stuff. As far as food i would try bbq with maybe some cool bbq sauce and you can make a baked ham with pineapples.as far as decor go to www.orentialtrading.com (sp) they have tons of stuff.as far as deinks lots of tropical stuff with the little umbrellas.tgif makes all these drinks with the alcohol already in it and you just mix it up in a blender with ice.have fun!!

i just drained my outdoor spa (hot tub) and refilled it with water..but the water is cold and it isnt heating!
any ideas what the problem is. i use the thermastat and i put it up to 104 degrees but it keeps going down to 62 again.

Bercause you have burnt the element out..I read your previous posting concerning this..When you drain a hot tub the element is encased in a tube that the water flows through and heats it..when it is dry and the elelment is left on..it gets too hot and actually burns the element up…The shame of it is the spa place you asked them first and said it would be okay..this was not true..you fried it…same as an electric hot water heater..if there is no water in it..it fries the element..

How do you install an electric meter on an outdoor hot tub?
My downstairs neighbor and I split the electric bill 50/50 plus $30 extra to him per 60 days to cover hot tub electric expense. Just got a $600 electric bill and I’m sure its due to the hot tub. Someone on YA recommended I have a meter installed for just the hot tub. Sounds like a good Idea if its possible.

landlady if I could put in a Killawatt but she doesn’t want me to do that. I asked him to turn it
off for the winter or put it on a timer and he refused to do those things also.

Yes there is only one meter. To install a second meter for his unit
would cost nearly $2000. Someone said that a meter (not from the electric company) could be
installed in-line for the hottub.

If the $30 is for the extra usage to the hot tub, then it should be on his bill, not yours. You should call the electrical supply (Com Ed or Tenn Valley Authority or who ever supplies your electric). This is an illegal setup. Hey! Wait just a minute, if you are splitting the bill, then is there only one meter? Why would you be giving your neighbor an extra $30?…….Are you blond?

windows for screened in hot tub room?
i am building a 12×12 outdoor hot ub room,post and beam construction.the screened openings will be about 6 feet wide by about 4 feet high.I am looking for way to enclose the screen openings during bad weather, winter months etc,and still be able to see out them, but would like to be able to take them off when hot tub is in use .Any ideas on how to build or is there a window product out there available to buy

We did this……had a local window/glass company make the windows to the sizes we have…..just a large fixed glass…..they r held in place with wing nuts on the outside and a simple piece of stop on the inside…..but they will fog up in the winter from the heat from the spa so i installed 2 12″ x 12″ roof vents and it solved the problem……

crazy, wild, insane, awesome or just plain stupid outdoor party ideas.?
I’m going to a week-long party in Saskatchewan next week known as the Craven Country Jamboree. I’m legal drinking age and i live on a farm, which means that i have access to a variety of farm-related equipment.
I’ve heard of people doing stuff like lining their truck beds with tarps and filling them with water for hot tubs and putting beds in the backs of vans and all that other stock sort of stuff, but i want to bring/do something truly unique.
i plan on being too inebriated to function for the majority of this concert thing, so any ideas, no matter how potentially self-destructive or illegal are welcome.
i’m willing to build something from scratch if someone comes up with something truly creative and amazing.
i googled all sorts of stuff looking for good ideas for this but nothing popped out at me, so i created this account to ask this specifically. maybe someone else has a better grasp of the internet than me and can come up with better keywords for the search. if you do, please help me.
again, dont be scared to reply to this even if your idea seems lame. think of this as an opportunity to brainstorm the most epic party idea you’ve ever had with hundreds of other people.
