The heat (like from the sun) can damage the stored spas
which will show visible blistering. If there is no water in the
hot tub, these damages can be made worse. Have the hot tub
filled with water and run for about twenty-four hours at the
maximum temperature setting before performing your inspection.
Then you should be able to spot any leaks or system
problems.
Try looking at the newspaper classified section to find and
purchase a spa. Many people have to sell their equipment before
they move. It is not good to look at Online auction sites
because of impractical shipping costs and not being able to see
or inspect any spa before purchasing it.
Decide on how much money you will spend by factoring in spa
design styles, the age of a spa, any extra features and the
general condition. When purchasing from a dealer, you may find
used hot tubs with a warranty because someone purchased it
using financing and was unable to make the payments.
