The Sage answers: I've never heard of marquis spas. The price usually determined by the amount of jets 1 or 2 motors. You said it seats six i would make sure it has a coulple of loungers they are the best. If your not to picky I bought a $10000 dollar spa form coleman for $4500 because it was scracthed on sides. I just built a surround and you can't see the scratches. Alot of placese will sell you a nice spa at a cheap price because of imperfections.

I know absolutely nothing about hot tubs and was wondering what type of price range im looking at to get this installed. The Sage answers: Make sure they check the load capacity of you existing deck! Decks are usually made to fit the need and i doubt yours was built with the thought in mind of someday having a hot tub on it...
Charles asks… I am considering puting in a pool and I want to know if adding the Hot tub is really worth the money? My wife and I live in Austin, TX where it can get pretty warm out. We know that we want to add a swimming pool to our back yard, but we are not sure about the spa. The spa will run an extra 7,000 to 9,000 dollars. Although we know that we will use it from time to time, we are not sure it is worth the extra cost. One of my big concerns is the resale value of the home. Knowing that I will most likely only get back $.50 on the dollar if we ever sell this home, I wonder if the Hot tub will impact that price. When people look at buying a home with a pool do they see a pool in the yard or do they really take notice that their is a spa. I guess my question is, will I actually see any more return on my investment if I have the spa built or not? Thanks you in advance for your feed back.
The Sage answers: Yes it is in most cases Pools generally add about 25k to the value of your home look at any appraisal and you will see homes without pools get a 25k deduction. And its all about how long will you hold the property if you plan on staying in it for 5 jor 10 years what would be the cost of a pool then and the gain will also go up. Anyone who says its a waste hasnt seen appraisals. I look at 20 appraisals a month averagage an many different states and have never seen simular houses one with a pool and one without and not seen a higher value on the one with a pool. Hot tubs add additional value not to mention interest!!! In any market its all about getting more buyers wanting your home at the same time. We spend many nights drinking wine togethere and watching the sun set. I say go for it its worth the expense and the more buyers that place themselves in that hot tub the better for you when it comes negoation time.

They offer far better hot tubs then local dealerships, and much cheaper prices even with shipping. They also seem to have great feedback for their hot tubs. Has anyone had experience with getting a hot tub on ebay or other online store? What are the risks? These hot tubs also come with 5-10 year warranties..

Beings that you are looking on eBay you can be well assured that you will be getting what you pay for, otherwords the person selling the item would have been kicked off eBay by now. However do your research and find the right hot tub for you before you buy. There are many different types with many different options, and do not forget that by purchasing online you are going to be responsable for installing the hot tub.

The Sage answers: I'm just buying one (from Sapphire Spas). Electricity costs around £4 ($8) per week. You also need to buy purifying tablets - thats another £20-£30 per 3-6 months. Edit - PS on the one you're looking at - it only has 4 jets. Seems a bit low - you won't get too much froth / massage then. Most have around 30-50 but I guess thats reflected in the price.

The Sage answers: Good luck. One thing to keep in mind is that if you buy a piece of crap, a piece of crap is what you will have. This is a “luxury” item. If you can’t afford it, well. If you think you can afford it and are willing to take the time to learn how to balance the chemicals and do the repairs then go right ahead. Even expensive, high quality hot tubs are not maintenance free. If you buy a cheap one I will almost guarantee you that you will be learning about pump motors, clamps, leaks in PVC materials, and no telling what else. You will be learning those things because after you hear what I will charge you to come out and do the repairs, you will either pay, learn, or do what most people do, sell the piece of crap on craigslist or ebay. I guess you are looking on ebay. Good luck!

this way and two months ago my newest vehicle. When I go looking for a hot tub there is zero price info that I
can find. For example enter “Chevy Silverado” in a Google search and hundreds of sites will be listed, enter
“jacuzzi tub” and there are just come-ons trying to get you in. No prices. Why can I price homes and cars online
but a hot tub is a set-up for bait and switch? Is anybody familiar with a website or store in the Dallas area
that provides a price online? This seems to be a product that is associated with a lot of snake oil
salespeople.
