There is nothing like a hot tub to help ease the aches and pains away from a hard day at work.
The hydrotherapeutic jets and warm water both combine to help relax the muscles allowing you to simply sit
back and soak up the atmosphere.

Questions About Hot Tubs
Ken asks…
Hot tubs??
Hello! Where is a good place to get a hot tub in NY for a really good deal. money is running low. thanks!
The Sage answers:
Shop around for a used one in good condition. New ones are quite
expensive. We bought our house with one so we didn't have to shop. Friends have bought new ones and they were
pricey.
Also, on the new ones, they are regulated at 100 deg for safety
reasons...and that seems to be all brands. For most people that ain't hot enough. Shop around before you buy for
sure.
Hope this helps. :)
Nancy asks…
hot tubs????
with my last two pregnancies, my doctor has told me im fine to go
in hot tubs, as long as i dont stay in too long. im now seeing another doctor for my third, as i moved. he has
just toldme im not allowed to go in hot tubs, never, not even for 5 minutes... why would he say this, but my
other docs have told me its fine??? what are the risks if i were to go in for 5 min?
The Sage answers:
My personal decision was not to go in hot tubs during my first
trimester. Once I was past that, I would go in lots (SOO relaxing), but I set the temp to no more then 100 and
monitored myself carefully for when I felt I was overheating.
Your new doctor is probably just not taking any chances, because
there's lots of dumb women out there who would go in a very hot tub and not take the precautions. He wouldn't
want his tail on the line if something should go wrong. The risk is highest during a) your first trimester and
b) if the hot tub actually raises your body temperature. Alot of doctors feel that hot tubs are fine because we
women naturally feel uncomfortable when our temps get too high and get out of the tub. I wouldn't worry about it. Like I said, I followed the 'rules' I set for myself for the two pregnancies we
had a hot tub and all was perfectly fine. I SO loved going it it during labour too---very
helpful!!

How often does Costco have their hot tubs on sale
online?
I want to buy a specific hot tub from Costco online, but I noticed
that a sale just ended on another one that saved $700 off the normal price. So I'd rather wait till mine goes on
sale, but I don't want to wait longer than a year. Has anyone noticed how often they have hot tubs on
sale?
The Sage answers:
Call them and ask.
Linda asks…
What research exists on the safety of chlorine and/or ozonators in
hot tubs?
I want to know if there are health risks associated with using
either chlorine/bromine or ozonators, such as in the Arctic Hot Tubs product, to control bacteria in hot tubs. I
know chlorine is safe in toothpaste and drinking water, but how about in hot tubs? I know ozone is toxic to the
lungs, but how about ozonator systems in hot tubs? Has anyone ever done a controlled study comparing people who
use hot tubs and people who do not to see if there is a difference in morbidity or mortality that might be
associated with hot tub use? Thanks
The Sage answers:
Wow a real tough one to answer... I know that ozonators have been
unsed since the 1896 in the USA to treat water. The city of Boston was the first to use it and now most major
cities have used it for many years. The process uses ultravilot light to sanitize. Rereadng your question though
There would be more risks getting into unsantized hot water. Chlorine has been used for centuries. Of course the
wrong combination of it becomes mustard gas. Look for the MSDS sheets on the type you want to use. I always use
a CD Ozonator, Bromine and non-chlorine shock, since I want as little ordor as possible. The www.apsp.org might
have some info for you, as will the www.nih.gov.
Deaths occur very rare with hot tub use, if we don't include
drowning. Chlorine can cause a threat if you continually beathe it but as you know it is heavier then air so
that is usually not a problem since most tubs are also outside. There's not much difference in the chlorine
level you have with most cities since they usually are around 1 ppm and a hot tub/swimming pool is kept at 1-3
ppm depending on the state you live in. Ozone is used to clean dental equipment and surgical equipment even in
hospitals so there must be a study out there for you to find. Good luck and i wouldn't mind seeing
it.

The Hot Tub: Below you can actually see one of our selected videos that will help you visualize the true
mystical qualities associated with a hot tub. We chose this footage because it's short and at the same time says
everything without words.
The film starts with fountains spraying water across the
hot tub and the peaceful music in the background. It then switches to the jets pumping followed by a lady
stepping into the tub to join her partners with a background of beautiful trees in the distance that nicely
complete the mood with the sun shining through.
This hot tub cleverly shows the available accessories
with an ipod docking station, a television and touch panel controls with the final shot being of the man and
woman on their own. Make sure you leave a comment below about this top of the range hot
tub.
