Your Questions About Hot Tub Accessories
g.f.i. keeps tripping on my spa?
Have a hot tub that keeps tripping the g.f.i. breaker, have unplugged the motors and
all accessories, and installed a new breaker, and still trips.Should I replace the spa pack circuit
board.
The Sage answers:
Replacing parts gets expensive. Get a ohm meter and read to see what has something
going to ground. Might just be a little wire. If a board is going bad then it will usually have a dark burnt
looking spot on it. Find a motoer with the same information and meter it and see if this one is reading the
same. Do not play the guess and replace game unless you have a few free parts lying around.

will this one work? and if not where can i get one? thank you
The Sage answers:
That should be fine but an ozone generator would be better. You wouldnt need to keep a
clorine level in your tub if you have that instead. BTW, to keep a proper clorine level in your tub, it will
smell like the ymca. Bromine is much better for hottubs. With ozone, you only have to use a table spoon of
shock once a week. Non-clorine shock is also good but more of it.
Daniel asks…
Dropped iPhone in Hot tub?
Okay, so I dropped my iPhone 4 in the Hot Tub today and grabbed it out quickly and
dried it off, the touch screen worked perfectly find. But the sound works weird... it only works on speakers.
Also, a message keeps popping up that says "This accessory isn't suited for an Apple device" or something
similar to that, when it's not even connected to anything. Should I restore it? Or use my warranty and get a
new iPhone?
The Sage answers:
Take the battery out and put the phone and the battery in bag of rice for a day or
two. If that doesn't work, then use the warranty.

Used Hot Tubs: Exercise With
Arthritis:
Thanks to the magical healing powers of hot tubs and
spas, people with arthritis are not only able to exercise but can also move around without the usual pain
they would normally endure. Even the Arthritis Foundation acknowledges the medicinal properties that warm
water can offer its patients, so if you know someone that suffers from this agonizing condition, spread the
word! Naturally before starting any new treatment, the person in question should consult with their doctor
first, just to be safe.
Assuming the doctor has agreed with the treatment, don't
make the mistake of diving into the first exercise routine without warming up first. Remember that your
muscles may be weak or not used to this kind of physical exercise and the last thing you want to do is injure
yourself before you've hardly started. Even if you are fit, loosening up at the start and winding down at the
end are all part of the process and must be adhered to. Even the Olympians do it!
The idea with any exercise is to build up your
resistance over a period of time by setting yourself small tasks initially and adding to them once you feel
ready. The same applies in a hot tub. Take your time to start with and at the end of the exercise, relax for
a few minutes before your muscles have to suffer the cooler air. Treat the first day as a tester and avoid
anything strenuous. By doing it this way, you are more likely to enjoy the overall sensation and look forward
to the next session whereby you can add a little more action.
Once you are submerged below the water and can move
about without pain or suffering, I think you'll agree that this type of therapy is truly a miracle. The
reality is that the gravitational pull reduces in the water and the warmth allows more blood and oxygen to
run to the heart, skin and muscles.
Like most things, follow the rules and the guidelines set out by
your own doctor to avoid bringing on any other problems. Contact the Arthritis Foundation to research the correct
way to exercise in a hot tub or better still, consider joining a class in your area if possible. More often than
not, you will find that the benefits to your health from using hot tubs or spas will be greatly improved and the
feeling of movement without pain, a joy to behold. Just a little warm water when exercising can go a long way on
the road to better health.
